Servings: 4-6
Ingredients:
Apples: 2 nos.
Cinnamon powder: Generous pinch
Sugar powder: Generous pinch
Pie dough:
Maida: Half cup
Cold Butter: 2/3 small cubes
Ice cold Water: As required to make dough
Salt: 1/4 th tsp
{I didn’t add sugar and baking powder to prepare the pie dough}
Method of preparation:
🥧. Take maida flour and cold butter cubes in a mixing bowl. Break the butter cubes with both hands and simultaneously mix the maida flour. Now add salt and required amount of ice cold water. We are adding ice cold water to avoid melting of butter because some amount of heat generates while mixing. This helps to get the flaky texture for the crust. Mix thoroughly , keep it in a cling wrap and refrigerate for minimum one hour. The prepared pie dough can be used for two more days.
🥧. After one hour take the pie dough out of the refrigerator. Keep it outside for 5 minutes so that the dough is pliable.
🥧. Roll out into thin disc dusting maida flour and fold into layers. Again roll into thin disc. Repeat the process for 3/4 times to get flaky pie crust.
🥧. Now use lil’ maida flour for dusting and roll out into disc of 3 mm. Cut it into strips and roll onto sliced apples.(Swipe to see)
🥧. Now sprinkle powdered sugar and cinnamon powder. Arrange them on a baking tray which contains parchment paper. Bake them in a preheated oven at 170 degrees for 14 minutes. Allow them to cool down completely.
🥧. Garnish with chocolate syrup and strawberry syrup. Enjoy with hot cup of coffee ☕️ !!!
