Bombay chutney
Bombay chutney is a very popular accompaniment in all parts of India. It’s also called as besan chutney. We can have it with idly, Dosa, roti or even Puri. It is very tasty making it very ideal for children and most importantly it can be easily prepared with easy-to-find ingredients. Here I present simple and easy Bombay chutney to relish as a side dish. Njoy cooking, serving and savoring.

Ingredients:
Besan flour: 4-5 tbsp
Water : As required
Salt: As required
Green chillies: 3/4 nos.
Curry leaves: A sprig
Coriander leaves: Few
Onion: 1 no. Large
Tempering:
Oil: 1 tbsp
Mustard seeds: 1 tsp
Cumin seeds: 1 tsp
Bengal gram: 1 tsp
Black gram: 1 tsp
Asafoetida: A pinch
Method of preparation:
☘️. Heat kadai and Take 4-5 tbsp of besan flour into it. Roast the besan flour till nice aroma comes for 2-3 minutes approximately.
☘️. Transfer them into a bowl and add two cups of water and mix thoroughly.
☘️. In the same kadai, pour oil for tempering. Add all the tempering ingredients except asafoetida. When mustard splutter add a pinch of asafoetida.
☘️. Now add chopped onion pieces and mix thoroughly. Add a pinch of salt and sauté them till they turn into translucent. Also add chopped green chillies and curry leaves.
☘️. When the onions become translucent add chopped tomatoes and coriander leaves and mix thoroughly.
☘️. Sauté the mixture till tomatoes turn into soft and mushy. Now add besan flour water mixture and stir continuously for minute.
☘️. Cook the mixture on low flame 🔥 for three minutes or till it is done fully.
☘️. Now the delicious bombay chutney is ready to serve with idlies.
