Badam Halwa

Celebrate this Diwali with traditional recipe which is popular in India . Almonds which are rich in protein, therefore they are not only delicious but also very healthy. Ingredients:

Almonds: 1 cup

Sugar: 3/4 th cup or Adjust according to your preference 

Saffron strands: 15-20 nos. 

Ghee: One fourth cup

Method of preparation:

🌷. Soak one cup almonds in enough water for 2-3 hours. Peel the skin of almonds. 

🌷. Now transfer the peeled almonds into a mixer grinder and ground to a smooth paste adding little water. Keep aside.

🌷. Meanwhile soak few saffron strands in warm water. 

🌷. Transfer the ground paste into a pan and sauté for two minutes.

🌷. Now add 3/4 th cup sugar and mix thoroughly. 

🌷. Cook on low flame stirring frequently. Also add half of ghee into it and mix well.

🌷. Add saffron water and mix thoroughly. Also add remaining ghee and stir continuously.

🌷. Cook the mixture on low flame till it leaves the kadai and attains halwa texture. Now add remaining ghee and mix thoroughly. 

🌷. Now the delicious Badam Halwa is ready to serve. Transfer onto a serving plate and enjoy when it’s hot.
