Rainbow Cake

Hurray!!!!!!

This is 500 th post. As a part of the celebration I’m posting here rainbow cake which I’ve prepared for my son’s birthday. I’ve used green, orange, pink, yellow food colours. After preparing vanilla cake batter, the batter is divided into five equal quantities and poured into separate bowls. Four colours are added separately and poured cake mould one after another. It’s baked at 180 degrees for 35 minutes or till its done completely. Here I present rainbow cake for any celebration. Njoy Cooking, Serving n Savoring!

Ingredients:

Maida: 1 1/2 cups

Sugar powder: 1 cup

Oil or butter: Half cup

Vanilla essence: Few drops

Baking powder: 1 tsp

Baking soda: 1/2 tsp

Curd: 4 tbsp

Water: As required to get the desired consistency 

Choice of food colours: Just few drops

Method of preparation:

🌈. Mix ingredients curd, oil and sugar powder. Whisk thoroughly for 5 minutes. Now sift maida, baking powder and baking salt and mix carefully using cut and fold method. Do not over mix. 

🌈. Preheat oven at 180 degrees for 10 minutes.

🌈. Take a cake mould and apply oil thoroughly on all sides. I didn’t use any parchment paper. 

🌈. Divide the batter into five equal quantities, keeping one part as plain. Add food colours to the remaining quantities. 

🌈. Now pour each coloured batter one after the other. 

🌈. Keep it in a preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes approximately. 

🌈. Take the rainbow cake out of the oven and allow to cool down completely. 

🌈. Simple milk and sugar frosting is prepared adding rainbow colours. Drizzle Sprinkles and the rainbow frosting onto the cake.
