Mirch ka salan

 Mirch Ka Salan – A Hyderabadi delicacy goes well with any flavoured rice like veg dum Biriyani/bagara rice. The recipe can be prepared in a jiffy. To prepare this recipe Bajji mirchi which are less spicy are used. Gravy is prepared with sesame seeds, peanuts and spice powders. Here I present delicious mirch ka salan which i served with bagara rice. Njoy Cooking, Serving n Savoring!

Ingredients:

Bajji mirchi: 7-10 nos.

Onion: 1 no.

Sesame seeds: 2 tbsp

Peanuts: 2-3 tbsp(Adjust the quality accordingly 

Red chilli powder: 1 tsp

Garam masala: Half tsp

Salt: As required 

Turmeric: A pinch

Sesame oil: 1-1/2 tbsp

Method of preparation:

💛. Take required quantity of Bajji mirchis . Rinse well with water slit longitudinally one side and remove the seeds. Keep aside.

💛.  Heat kadai and dry roast peanuts for 4/5 minutes and add sesame seeds. Fry for one minute and transfer into a mixer grinder.

💛. In the kadai, pour oil. Shallow Fry the bajji mirchis in oil and take them out separately leaving oil back into the kadai.

💛. Now add finely chopped onions and sauté till they turn into translucent.

💛. Meanwhile grind the roasted peanuts and sesame seeds into slurry adding required amount of water. 

💛. Now add the slurry to the sautéed onions. Also add required amount of salt, chilli powder and garam masala powder. 

💛. Mix thoroughly and bring it to boil for 5 minutes or till desired consistency is achieved.

💛. Now add sautéed mirchis to the gravy and rest well so that all flavours infused into the mirchis. 

💛. Now the delicious mirch ka salan is ready to serve along with bagara rice.
