October 22nd- Today is so special in my life. Akshayakumbham blog is celebrating it’s 4th Anniversary. I’ve prepared korralu sakkarai Pongal/foxtail millet sweet Pongal to celebrate the happiness. The recipe can be prepared so easily in less than 30 minutes. Korralu/foxtail millets are soaked in water and cooked thoroughly. Jaggery syrup is Prepared with cardamom pods and added to the cooked foxtail millets. Required amount of ghee and dry fruits are added. Here I present healthy festive recipe korralu sakkarai pongal to relish during any special occasion. Njoy Cooking, Serving n Savoring!

Ingredients:

Korralu: 2 cups 

Jaggery: 2 cups 

Cardamom pods: 5/6 nos.

Water: As required 

Ghee: 2 tbsp

Dry fruits: One tbsp (Cashews, and raisins )

Method of preparation:

💥. Soak foxtail millet in four cups of water for thirty minutes. 

💥. Now cook the foxtail millet along with soaked water. 

💥. Meanwhile prepare jaggery syrup with  two cups of jaggery and half cup of water. 

💥. Also add cardamom pods and bring it to boil. 

💥. Check the foxtail millet, if they are cooked completely., add jaggery syrup and mix thoroughly.

💥. Cook furthermore for few minutes adding ghee. 

💥. Fry  dry fruits in enough ghee and add To the sweet pongal. 

💥. Traditional festive sweet korralu sakkarai pongal is ready to serve.
