Oats rose Phirni 

Phirni is a popular sweet/dessert from Kashmiri cuisine. It is prepared with milk and sugar. Usually Phirni is Prepared with rava which is Prepared using soaked basmati rice. But today I’ve used oats just for a change. Saffron or rose essence can be used to enhance the flavour. Here I present rich, creamy mouthwatering delicious oats rose phirni to celebrate any occasion. Ingredients:

Oats: Half cup

Milk: 1 1/2 cups 

Sugar: 1/4 th cup(Adjust the quantity according to your choice)

Rose essence: Few drops 

Edible pink colour: 2/3 drops 

Rose petals n saffron strands: Few for garnishing 

Method of Preparation:

🌷. Soak oats in enough milk for half an hour. Cook them in milk adding remaining milk for 10 minutes or till it’s completely done.

🌷. Add sugar, rose essence and edible pink colour and mix thoroughly. Boil furthermore for two minutes or till it attains rich creamy texture. Switch off the flame and allow to completely cool down to normal temperature. Transfer them into serving bowl and refrigerate for one or two hours. Now the delicious oats rose Phirni is ready to serve.
